Pavilion Dance presents an evening of contemporary dance with Khamlane Halsackda

Having danced with the finest British dance companies, Khamlane Halsackda brings his heartfelt double bill of work, including a brand new duet with Rumiko Otsuka, to Pavilion Dance on Thursday 26 April.

In A Single Act and Yellow Card, Khamlane presents a touching yet entertaining mix of dance and theatre.

Confronting old stereotypes with a pinch of dance and a lot of humour, the performances will explore issues surrounding love and sexuality.

Both pieces contain male and female nudity, therefore the recommended audience age is 14+

A Single Act (20 mins)

A solo work which was created in 2010, A Single Act has toured internationally. It sees Khamlane
re-enact childhood memories and those of a first love.

Yellow Card  (35 mins)

A collaboration with performer Rumiko Otsuka, this is the sequel to A Single Act. Yellow Card looks at the contradiction that is the East Asian image; from what exists in the eyes of society to what may really exist beneath this.

...a heartfelt act of exposure, rough and raw.”  (Donald Hutera, Dance Europe)
